JoeJ Art Gallery

This is the part where I have my art statement, but I really don't have one.
My reason for creating art is to connect with people without words, otherwise I'd be an author (which incidentally I am; click on 'For Kids' link to learn more). There are some things that cannot be explained in words and the attempt to do so destroys the essence of the work. I believe this is especially true in art.

There is a universal language that all people know. This language does not contain words, but it holds the mysteries of all things living; like the feelings that we all carry with us about life and those rare moments when you feel connected to another person, to nature or to everything else. I think art is a reminder of this language and it is the medium that connects us back to it. Or if that's too philosophical and you just like pretty pictures; that's just as good :)
